On another occasion I got takeout which was delicious but very slow! I found I couldn’t order on any of the apps so I tried calling but they didn’t answer their phone. Once I arrived to place my order in person it was a 15-20 minute wait for the food. I have no regrets though as it was worth the wait. Plenty of dairy-free, gluten-free options! I was even able to sub in vegan cheese on my dish and it was delicious.

Ingredients were fresh and the tiradito, although tiny in portion and not mind blowing, packed a punch in terms of flavor and texture (the cancha was a nice addition). I do think prices were way too high for the tiny quantity of food, although this is understandable given the restaurant’s location and the good quality of food. I’ll admit I struggled to navigate the menu, as it seemed to span dishes that were Creole. Brazilian, Peruvian, Panamanian, Burmese, Sri Lankan, Japanese, and Puerto Rican, and the layout of the menu’s dishes was a bit disorienting.   Carmo was great! I went here for the first time last night. It was easy to get a reservation online the morning of but they did look pretty busy when we got there. Our server, who indicated she was new (about 2 weeks), was really wonderful. My sister and I shared a number of dishes - a ceviche, a creole seared avocado, one of the cheese breads, and the rico plaintain dish with beans. We each also had a caipirinha. The ambience is eclectic inside which I liked, and when it's not 8 million degrees, sitting outside would be nice on the sidewalk out front. As a pescatarian, this was perfect for me and I'll definitely be back. The prices are a little on the high side, but it was good quality food with a wide-ranging menu of options so it felt well worth it for me.
